I believe I have my problem narrowed down to two sections of code.
The first possible place of error is in the check actionlistener. Specifically getting the text from the JTextField. I tested the contents of tokens[i] and they all printed out as I needed them, just letters, limited by the stated delimiters. However when I call the .Contains method for each instance of tokens[i] the calculated value it incorrect in comparison to the .Insert calculated value for the words loaded from the dictionary file.
The only other area where the code could be wrong would be the method in which I calculate the hash value. However I don't see how as it is essentially an equation.
The text file I load to spell check contains:
sap sat sad rat rap ram rag nap Nat naaaat
If I run the program, depending on what I am testing, everything comes back as spelled correctly or spelled incorrectly.
