VFW - anybody using it ?- getting black frames in callback on frame

I am looking for someone who is ACTIVELY using VFW.
I have implemented callback on frame and gettting empty frames at random.
I am getting black (blank) screen and have no idea how to "skip" over them,
I need steady video image.
Any help will be appreciated.
