Hello Lovely People !
How is everyones week?
I hope the answer is Great !
Well I had a simple, somewhat opinionated question to ask, and just wanted some input.
As some of you know, I am a freshman in college, and a complete newbie to java,
BUT I love Java, who wouldn't
My brother is also a programmer who specializes in making bots for people interested in internet marketing.
Software like Back Link Booster and so forth...
He has been encouraging me lately to study and learn how to create bots with java and I currently been reading a book named "HTTP Programming Recipes for Java Bots", while also doing my regular newbie college computer science course work.
I believe I am getting ahead by reading this book because it teaches me about web servers, HTTP request and etc, which is more of a general knowledge that can be used with any programming language ...
My goal is to study hard, so by time the summer comes , I can start working on my own bots, and make money this way instead of working at Mcdonalds
BUT, Im also interested in Android apps, which is more specific then Bots, but its Java, so Hey !
I never read a book about creating android apps, and I don't know if it would be a lot more complex then learning how to do bots.
Reiterating, my goal is to study one thing long enough to AT LEAST start creating my own by the summer.
Which one seems more likely in my case?
Apps or Bots?
Also , which one would seem more profitable in the long run?
