I am trying to retrieve the Office key from the registry. However, using VB.Net's native code and retrieving the "DigitalProductID" from the registry and decrypting it does not seem to work for all versions of Office. It will work for 2003 and 2007 but for like Office 2010 Pro Plus MAK keys it retrieves a bogus key. Any ideas? Did Microsoft start storing the key in a different manner? Is the encryption algorithm different for different versions of keys or versions of Office now? Thanks in advance for any help!
